Grade/Level: High School or Equivalent

Travel: As Necessary

Work Schedule: Flexible

Positions Supervised: Meat Manager, Produce Manager, Front End/Office Manager, Deli Manager, Stock Manager, Store Clerk, Sales Associates, Cashiers, Meat Clerks, Produce Clerks, Deli Clerks, and Stock Clerks

Position Summary: The Assistant Store Manager is knowledgeable of all aspects of the store and assumes full responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager. Duties include supervising staff, managing inventory, purchasing, budgeting, and personnel tasks. The role is primarily to train for a future Store Manager position.

Essential Functions: Customer service, supervising staff, inventory management, enforcing safety rules, hiring and training personnel, managing sales and pricing policies, preparing reports, and assisting with store operations and administration.

Qualifications: High School diploma or GED; no prior experience necessary. Computer skills in Microsoft Office and general computer knowledge. Must have access to a phone and basic math skills.

Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, climb, crawl, squat, bend, and lift weights up to 100 lbs frequently or occasionally as specified.

Work Environment: Grocery store setting.
