Role Description

The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Sevierville, TN, responsible for supporting store leadership in driving sales, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and maintaining LOFT's brand standards. This role helps lead and motivate the team on the sales floor, models engaging customer service, and ensures product presentation and visual standards are consistently met. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with opening and closing procedures, monitoring sales performance, supporting workload planning, and helping manage inventory, merchandising, and replenishment. The Assistant Manager partners with the Store Manager to coach associates, provide real-time feedback, and support training and development to build a high-performing, inclusive team. This role also contributes to a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment while promoting LOFT's community-minded, feel-good culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, with skills in customer service, client engagement, and relationship building.
• Leadership capabilities including team support, coaching, delegation, and the ability to foster an inclusive, collaborative work atmosphere.
• Operational skills in cash handling, opening/closing procedures, inventory support, and adherence to policies and loss prevention practices.
• Sales and merchandising skills, including meeting performance goals, supporting promotions, and maintaining strong visual and brand presentation standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide feedback, collaborate with store leadership, and interact effectively with diverse customers and associates.
• Organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support business needs.
• Prior supervisory or key holder experience in retail is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
