Job summary

Applebee’s is hiring an Assistant Manager in Pensacola, FL. You will assist the Restaurant Manager in running the restaurant profitably, focus on cost control, customer service, and staff development, and help drive sales while maintaining brand standards.

The role requires at least 1 year in casual dining, strong leadership and communication skills, POS proficiency, and a commitment to training and teamwork. This position is full-time and on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the Casual Restaurant industry
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling
• Current alcohol and food certifications that meet state requirements (preferred)
• Able to manage team dynamics and resolve conflicts effectively
• Able to withstand the physical demands of a restaurant environment

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

As the Assistant Manager, you will assist the Restaurant Manager in operating the restaurant profitably within the established practices and procedures of Company Operations. This position is responsible for cost control, customer service, restaurant and employee appearance, building sales, maximizing profits, and employee development.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements):

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.
• A High School Diploma is preferred.
• Proficiency in POS systems.
• Current alcohol and food certifications that meet state requirements are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
