Being an Assistant Manager at a SONIC Drive-In restaurant is a rewarding role where you'll support the General Manager in managing daily operations. You will assist in training and supporting employees to ensure the delivery of quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. Our goal is to provide every guest with an enjoyable dining experience every time they visit SONIC.

Restaurant Assistant Manager positions are typically offered as full-time or part-time roles.

Prior experience as a restaurant assistant manager, general manager, supervisor, shift lead, crew lead, or team lead is highly desirable.

Requirements and Responsibilities
  1. Manage, train, monitor, and coach Team/Crew Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
  2. Direct and assign tasks to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards.
  3. Ensure compliance with the employee handbook, policies, and practices.
  4. Perform opening and/or closing duties of the restaurant.
  5. Monitor and adjust staffing levels, inventory, and food costs.
  6. Complete weekly inventory and maintain accurate records and documentation.
  7. Reinforce a customer service focus and ensure employees prioritize guest satisfaction.
  8. Respond promptly and respectfully to guest requests and assist in resolving complaints.
