Being an Assistant Manager at a SONIC Drive-In restaurant is a key leadership role responsible for supporting the General Manager in managing daily operations. You will be involved in training and supporting employees to ensure the delivery of quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment. Our goal is to provide every guest with an enjoyable dining experience every time they visit SONIC.

Restaurant Assistant Manager positions are typically offered as full-time or part-time roles.

Prior experience as a restaurant assistant manager, general manager, supervisor, shift lead, crew lead, or team lead is highly desirable.

Requirements/Responsibilities

1. Manage, train, monitor, and coach Team / Crew Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops.
2. Direct and assign tasks to employees to ensure food service meets operational standards.
3. Ensure compliance with employee handbook, policies, and practices.
4. Perform opening and/or closing duties of the restaurant.
5. Adjust staffing levels, manage inventory, and control food costs.
6. Complete weekly inventory checks.
7. Assist with administrative tasks, including maintaining records and documentation.
8. Promote a customer service-focused environment and ensure employees prioritize guest satisfaction.
9. Respond promptly and respectfully to guest requests and report and resolve complaints.
