Job summary

Valvoline Instant Oil Change seeks an Assistant Service Center Manager to lead a high-performance team and deliver a superior guest experience. You will supervise hourly staff, train team members, and ensure adherence to company policies while performing oil changes and maintenance services.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of supervisory experience required (coaching, training, and supervising a team).
  • Customer service mindset and demonstrated ability to build loyalty while following company procedures.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment and history of making sound judgments under pressure.
  • Experience using KPI data to monitor performance, trends, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Schedule flexibility (Weekend availability is likely, but we ensure you don’t work late nights or holidays).
  • English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Perform oil changes and additional car maintenance services, educate guests on vehicle maintenance requirements and ensure that recommended services are reviewed.
  • Supervise daily operations of the service center and train new team members.
  • Build trust and win repeat, loyal customers by working with your team to ensure excellent customer service through Valvoline’s quick, easy, trusted process.
  • Develop and maintain efficient weekly work schedules for employees, ensuring optimal coverage and following labor laws.
  • Assist with inventory process, ensuring appropriate product levels and scheduling orders.
  • Assist with store audits (e.g., Safety, performance, culture).
  • Open and close the service center, ensuring all safety and security protocols are followed.

You are responsible for taking the lead in helping build a high-performance team capable of differentiating Valvoline Instant Oil Change’s (VIOC) service experience from all other providers.
