DEFINITION

To manage Zaxby’s units toward the attainment of agreed upon sales and profit goals. To work within the framework of company values and policies. To grow sales.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED

Reports directly to the General Manager. Receives direction from the General Manager, Organizational Training Manager, District Manager, and Director of Operations. Assists in the direct supervision of 2-4 Shift Managers and 15-50 employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential duties may include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Increase sales by providing outstanding product and service.
  2. Work mornings, nights, and weekends, monitoring quality of food and service.
  3. Assist in training Team Members and Shift Managers.
  4. Purchase food, beverages, and supplies as needed, overseeing preparation to ensure high standards of quality.
  5. Execute all systems daily to ensure a clean, organized restaurant prepared to deliver quality food and ENCORE service.
  6. Operate in accordance with established performance, profits, and operating standards as set out in operation manuals.
  7. Supervise and motivate Team Members and Shift Managers to perform at their highest level.
  8. Maintain a good working knowledge of all equipment and assume responsibility for preventive maintenance.
  9. Maintain high standards of service by demonstrating leadership by example.
  10. Utilize management tools to keep accurate records for planning increased sales and profits.
  11. Ensure marketing plans are executed timely and accurately to build repeat customer visits.
  12. Communicate openly and honestly about plans, progress, and problems.
  13. Provide leadership by fostering enthusiasm, a positive attitude, and commitment to company objectives.
  14. Create an ENCORE work environment.
  15. Perform other duties as directed by the General Manager.
  16. Responsible for increasing sales and profitability.
  17. Maintain flexibility to perform above and beyond the parameters of this description.
  18. Work a minimum of 50 hours per week, including at least one open, close, and mid shift.
NONESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintain physical condition appropriate for duties, including walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, and effective sensory perception for observations, communication, reading, and writing.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of restaurant management experience.
  • Minimum 6 months employment by Zaxby’s & ZFL certification.
  • Successfully passed all ZFL management tests within 90 days of hire.
WORKING CONDITIONS

Office environment with computer and equipment; restaurant environment with kitchen and front-of-house equipment; possible hazardous conditions. Must maintain physical condition for prolonged standing, walking, or sitting. U.S. employment eligibility is verified using eVerify.
