Job summary

Marco's Pizza in Meridian, Idaho is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations, delivering an outstanding Guest experience, and developing a high-performing team with plans to advance to General Manager within about two years.

You will coach and train staff, ensure food quality and safety, support hiring, manage costs, and foster an engaging workplace that reflects Marco's culture and values while driving sales and profitability.

Qualifications

• 1 year of restaurant management or leadership experience or equivalent supervisory role.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid drivers license.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional Guest service, product quality, cleanliness, and speed of service.
• Lead by example by working alongside the team in all areas of the restaurant.
• Resolve Guest concerns quickly and professionally.
• Ensure consistent execution of Marco's operating standards and systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and developing team members.
• Coach and train employees to deliver a consistent 5-Star Guest experience.
• Provide ongoing feedback, recognition, and accountability to build a high-performing team.
• Foster an engaging workplace that reflects Marco's culture and values.
• Support achievement of sales, profitability, labor, and food cost goals.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering, and product control.
• Help manage labor through effective scheduling.
• Review business results with the General Manager and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Protect company assets, including cash handling and inventory controls.
• Support Local Store Marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness and drive sales.
• Build positive relationships within the local community.
• Help execute promotional campaigns and restaurant events.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain accurate information in company systems including POS, Inventory IQ, Marco's University, and personnel records.
• Follow all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
