Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager in Missouri to oversee daily operations, maintain guest satisfaction, ensure food quality, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards.

You will supervise 4–12 staff, help plan events, manage scheduling and inventory, and train team members while delivering friendly service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Must be able to operate a POS system and adapt to technology.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
• Operate POS system and manage cash handling.
• Assist in staff scheduling and supervision.

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
