Job summary

Pure Hockey, LLC is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, drive sales, and maintain merchandising standards. You will lead a high-performing team, collaborate with peers and the Area Manager, and may provide full leadership at times.

You will mentor staff, ensure product knowledge, schedule and train employees, and maintain a positive, inclusive work environment while working evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management/supervisory experience; retail management experience a plus.
• Proven experience in a retail/customer service environment.
• Ability to train, coach, develop, and motivate employees.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in merchandising, operations, sales, and customer service.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable about all products and working with co‑workers to provide excellent sales service.
• Conduct opening and closing operational routines, ensuring a successful start or completion of the store’s daily business.
• Partner with the Store Manager to establish and communicate all critical metrics and expectations within the store, including sales, visual, operations, safety, loss prevention, human resources, payroll/scheduling, and training.
• Coach, teach, train, recognize, and manage all aspects of performance and development for all store associates to encourage professional growth and build a bench of talent.
• Act as a partner between customers, sales associates, and store leadership.
• Maintain awareness of all product knowledge and current or upcoming product releases.
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
