Position DescriptionJob Title Assistant Store Manager01/2005FLSA Status – ExemptSummaryManages production operations by implementing plans, procedures and policies to achieve store sales plans. This position supervises associates assigned by the Store Manager. Manages the store in the absence of the store manager. Plays a key role within the store with employees and customers. Reports directly to the Store ManagerEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAchieves sales plan in the store, by supervising individual departments.Manages production operations including hiring qualified store employees by screening applications and evaluating applicants during interviews.Evaluates the performance of the production crews; makes appropriate changes to the production process, recommends wage changes, and disciplinary actions to the Store Manager.Supports the corporate culture by promoting a management style of open communication, accountability and consistent treatment of all employees as well as compliance with all Federal and State laws.Provides training by answering questions, giving directions and offering constructive feedback about task performance to employees.
