Job summary

Schlotzsky’s is seeking an Assistant General Manager who will lead guest relations, employee development, and business growth. The role partners with the management team to execute a strategic vision for the restaurant while maintaining top-tier food and service.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of restaurant experience, supervisory exposure, and a drive to grow into leadership. Comprehensive benefits, bonus potential, and paid training support career progression.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of restaurant experience; supervisory or shift lead preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in hospitality or business is a plus.
• Eagerness to grow into a leadership role; AGM experience helpful but not required.
• Leadership and team development demonstrated in prior roles.
• Supports GM in coaching, training, and developing team members.
• Leads by example, upholds service standards and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily operations including staffing, scheduling, and food safety.
• Support inventory control, food cost tracking, and loss prevention.
• Contribute to P&L analysis and KPI monitoring with the GM.
• Ensure guest experience is high; resolve concerns promptly.
• Promote loyalty programs and upsell opportunities with the team.
• Assist across restaurant roles as needed to support operations.

Operations & Financial Support

• Assists in managing daily operations including staffing, scheduling, food safety, and cash handling
• Helps with inventory control, food cost tracking, and loss prevention
• Learns and supports analysis of P&L statements and key performance metrics
• Monitors team productivity and ensures compliance with company procedures and brand standards
• Guest Experience & Service
• Delivers exceptional guest service with speed, accuracy, and friendliness
• Addresses guest concerns promptly; escalates more complex issues to the GM
• Actively promotes guest engagement and loyalty programs
• Comfortable using POS systems and willing to learn operational and scheduling software
• Basic skills in spreadsheets, digital checklists, and restaurant management tools
• Willing to assist across all restaurant roles as needed to support operations
