Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff, ensuring smooth shift transitions, and maintaining high standards of service excellence.
• Oversee food preparation and food safety management to guarantee quality and compliance with health regulations.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
• Conduct staff training sessions on food handling, customer service, POS usage, and safety procedures to enhance team skills and performance.
• Monitor inventory control processes to ensure proper stock levels, minimize waste, and manage food production efficiently.
• Support kitchen management by supervising food production, ensuring timely delivery of orders, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Assist in budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and implementing cost-control measures to maximize restaurant profitability.
• Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and resolving guest concerns promptly to foster loyalty.
• Participate in interviewing potential team members and managing staff schedules to optimize coverage during peak hours.
• Promote a positive team environment through effective communication, motivation, and leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
• Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience within the hospitality or food industry is required.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and inventory management.
• Solid understanding of restaurant management principles including shift management, kitchen operations, and customer service standards.
• Strong skills in cash handling, basic math for financial transactions, and managing budgets.
• Experience with food safety management practices and implementing health regulations.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively through training & development initiatives.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.
• Hospitality management background with casual dining or fine dining experience is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
