Job summary

Subway is seeking an Assistant Manager in Geismar, LA to focus on guest experience, food quality, cleanliness, and safety while leading a small team. You will work across seven priority areas to ensure smooth operations and exceptional service.

The role includes managing 4–12 staff, assisting with promotions and events, ordering and inventory, and training coordination. Full-time/Part-time shifts vary by location; on-site work required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide an excellent Guest experience.
• Ensure food is prepared and served to standard.
• Keep the restaurant clean, functional and attractive.
• Control inventory and assist with product ordering.
• Schedule and supervise a 4–12 staff and evaluate work.

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

Physical

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
