Job summary

Subway in Evans City is looking for an Assistant Manager who will be responsible for providing an excellent guest experience and managing restaurant operations. You will oversee food preparation, control inventory, and supervise a team of 4-12 members. Strong communication and supervisory skills are essential.

The ideal candidate should hold a high school diploma and have experience in a restaurant setting. Full-time and part-time shifts available.

Job description

As part of the Subway® Team, you as an Assistant Manager will focus on seven main things:

In addition to the role of a Shift Manager, key parts of your day to day will consist of:

• Managing a staff of 4-12 including assigning and evaluating work
• Assisting in the planning of special events and promotions in restaurant, coordinating any training needed to make events successful
• Assisting with product ordering and inventory as needed

PREREQUISITES

Education: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience: Experience in a restaurant operation, preferably with supervisory experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Must be an excellent communicator with the ability to deal with all levels of team members. Computer knowledge is desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work any area of the restaurant as needed and to operate computerized Point of Sale system/cash register. This position requires bending, standing and walking the entire workday. Must have the ability to lift 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
