The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Assistant Bakery Manager works alongside the Bakery Manager and team members to create high-quality cakes, foster a warm, welcoming environment, and deliver a superior guest experience. The Assistant Bakery Manager shares in team leadership, collaborates with the Bakery Manager to drive sales and profitability, executes day-to-day responsibilities, and ensures bakery operations comply with NbC standards. This role is vital in embodying the NbC culture, reinforcing core values, and bringing our brand to life for team members and guests.
Accountabilities/Duties:
- Prioritize the guest experience, model excellent guest engagement, and foster a positive work environment.
- Partner with the Bakery Manager to lead guest experience, cake production, brand and merchandise presentation, work environment, P&L management, and inventory control.
- Support in recruiting, training, and developing team members, overseeing daily responsibilities, and providing performance feedback and coaching.
- Ensure NbC product, service, bakery environment, and visual standards are maintained, and all operations adhere to food safety and health regulations.
- Assist in executing operational and administrative tasks such as cake production planning, productivity goals, team scheduling, supply ordering, sales reporting, basic accounting, and payroll processing.
- Manage special-order fulfillment for individual and corporate clients, including large orders and deliveries.
- Assist in opening and closing bakery operations, including cash handling and deposits.
- Participate in local marketing efforts and brand-building events.
- Maintain knowledge of all bakery roles and perform various responsibilities as needed.

Education, Certifications, and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
- 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in retail, restaurant, or food service, preferably with managerial responsibilities.
- Experience in creating a superior guest experience, coaching, training, and achieving productivity goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and adaptability to new technologies.
Work Availability:
Must be flexible to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on business needs.
