Job summary

Applebee’s restaurants nationwide are hiring an Assistant Manager. You will support the Restaurant Manager in operating the establishment profitably, ensuring cost control, service excellence, and staff development within established procedures.

This role requires at least 1 year in casual dining, POS proficiency, and strong leadership. Certifications in food and alcohol are preferred, with opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience in casual restaurant setting.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Current alcohol and food certifications meeting state requirements preferred.
• Strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Able to withstand the physical demands of a restaurant environment.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

This position is responsible for cost control, customer service, restaurant and employee appearance, building sales, maximizing profits, and employee development.

What You’ll Bring (Requirements):

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in the Casual Restaurant industry is required.
• A High School Diploma is preferred.
• Proficiency in POS systems.
• Current alcohol and food certifications that meet state requirements are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of team leadership and positive conflict resolution.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to withstand the physical demands a restaurant environment holds.
