AWI Management Corp. in Chico, CA, is seeking a skilled Assistant Maintenance Technician to join a 107-unit apartment community.

You will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents and coordinate with the Property Manager to handle work orders and vendor relations. This full-time role requires dependable, organized individuals with general building maintenance, landscaping, and preventative maintenance experience.

Qualifications

  • Computer literacy with Outlook, Teams, and work-order systems.

  • Experience with subsidized housing programs (HUD, LIHTC, or RD) is helpful.
  • General building maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
  • Groundskeeping and landscaping experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance to keep building systems in good condition.
  • Maintain the grounds and landscaping to support curb appeal.
  • Assist with annual apartment inspections and identify maintenance needs.
  • Coordinate with the Property Manager to order supplies and manage vendors.
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
  • Report lease or house rule violations when observed.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations appropriately.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.

WhatYou'llDo

As the Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure the property is wellmaintained, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.
