Job Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the facilities of Eureka Multifamily Group’s properties, including grounds and common areas, ensuring they are in optimal condition. This role involves general maintenance and repairs of equipment and structures, ensuring heating, plumbing, HVAC systems, and landscaping are properly maintained.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Respond promptly to emergencies, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocols.
  • Plan and schedule repairs efficiently.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
  • Repair faulty equipment and electrical systems.
  • Inspect buildings and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist with the setup and repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems.
  • Support budget development and adhere to financial guidelines.
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems for optimal functionality.
  • Inspect alarm systems, such as fire and carbon dioxide detectors, and schedule repairs as needed.
  • Conduct pest control activities, including insecticide spraying.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and other mechanical systems.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance processes and methods.
  • Experience operating equipment like snow blowers, lawnmowers, and hand tools.
  • Proficiency with tools, appliances, and devices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work unexpected hours.

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or higher.
  • HVAC Certification required.
  • EPA 1 & 2 technician certifications required.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
