Job DescriptionRush Truck Centers is seeking a skilled and motivated Level 2 Automotive Diesel Mechanic to join our Oklahoma City service team. This role plays a vital part in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of diesel vehicles and systems. You'll work in a fast-paced, supportive environment with opportunities for continued growth and hands-on experience.
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed
Pay: $30-$50/Hr based on previous experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
Perform thorough diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and vehicle systems
Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections
Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues
Communicate with service advisors regarding repair timelines and recommendations
Document repairs and services performed in detail
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Assist and mentor Level 1 mechanics as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on diesel technician experience, specifically with Class 7 and Class 8 vehicles
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred
Familiarity with diagnostic platforms and repair software
ASE or manufacturer certifications preferred
Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)
Self-motivated, dependable, and professional demeanor
