Job DescriptionRush Truck Centers is seeking a skilled and motivated Level 2 Automotive Diesel Mechanic to join our Oklahoma City service team. This role plays a vital part in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of diesel vehicles and systems. You'll work in a fast-paced, supportive environment with opportunities for continued growth and hands-on experience.

Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed
Pay: $30-$50/Hr based on previous experience and qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and vehicle systems

  • Conduct routine maintenance and safety inspections

  • Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues

  • Communicate with service advisors regarding repair timelines and recommendations

  • Document repairs and services performed in detail

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies

  • Assist and mentor Level 1 mechanics as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on diesel technician experience, specifically with Class 7 and Class 8 vehicles

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred

  • Familiarity with diagnostic platforms and repair software

  • ASE or manufacturer certifications preferred

  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain)

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and professional demeanor
