Avanti Residential is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support the Service Manager in leading maintenance, preventative tasks, and amenity upkeep at Latitude Apartments in Phoenix. You will mentor the maintenance team and cover after-hours emergencies while the Service Manager is away.

The role requires 3+ years of property maintenance experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification, and a valid driver’s license. Great benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills; including checking email and phone/voicemail daily.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of property management systems such as Yardi, SightPlan, etc.

The Assistant Service Manager helps the Service Manager lead and delegate maintenance requests, preventative maintenance duties, and amenity area maintenance for the property. They will work directly with the Service Manager on all aspects of the community and oversee a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and associates. This position assists in leading the maintenance team by being a mentor and a leader. This role will effectively manage the Service Manager's responsibilities while the Service Manager is out. The Assistant Service Manager will respond to after-hour emergencies while on-call.

What You’ll Do…

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed…

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years of property management maintenance experience required.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification required.
• CAMT certification preferred but not required.
• CPO certification required for properties where applicable based on local regulations and property-specific operational requirements.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, heating, air-conditioning, appliances, and many other repair areas.
• Written, verbal, and oral communication skills; including checking email and phone/voicemail daily.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of property management systems such as Yardi, SightPlan, etc.
• Budget knowledge.
• Pass criminal background screening prior to employment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and up-to-date vehicle insurance is required.
• If minimum qualifications are met during resume screening the Wonderlic pre-employment assessment is required. The assessment will arrive in the email inbox that you provided.
