The Ivy in College Station, TX is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to join CONAM Management Corporation's property team. You will assist in overseeing apartment community maintenance, ensuring buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet high standards.

Requirements include a minimum of 2 years in apartment maintenance, experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in apartment maintenance or equivalent.
• Proficiency with plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliance repair, and carpentry.
• "Valid driver’s license required" and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Assistant Maintenance Supervisor - The Ivy| College Station, TX

What We Are Looking For: We are seeking a skilled Assistant Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at The Ivy in College Station, TX. As part of our maintenance team, you'll play a crucial role by assisting with overseeing apartment community maintenance and performs technical and mechanical work that ensures the inside and external buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the community meet CONAM’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality.

This is a full-time position with full benefits. Pay range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Maintenance Supervisor to coach the maintenance team and monitor the team’s performance against community goals.


• Assist in training the maintenance team staff on maintenance, safety and customer service procedures.


• Assist Maintenance Supervisor with annual budget and making recommendations on bids


• Adhere to and enforce compliance of all state law regulations and CONAM policies and procedures relating to the apartment community


• Perform and oversee routine preventative maintenance on equipment and systems


• Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours emergency maintenance services as needed.


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards in all maintenance activities.


• Ability to drive locally for business purposes pertaining to property management maintenance.


• Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are: (Requirements of the Position)

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in apartment maintenance or equivalent, including proficiency in plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, appliance repair, and general carpentry.


• Technical Skills: Ability to operate and maintain various hand tools and power equipment, such as drills, saws, grinders, electrical testers, HVAC systems, and plumbing tools.


• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities to quickly assess and resolve maintenance issues, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.


• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with residents, team members, and vendors effectively.


• Customer Focus: A passion for delivering exceptional service to residents and creating a positive living experience.


• Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule and participate in an on-call rotation to handle apartment maintenance emergencies.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.


• Possess a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile liability insurance coverage.
