Salary Range: $27.00 - $30.00 Hourly

Job Shift: Day - including weekend and oncall

Essential Job Functions:

  • Use electronic systems to prioritize and respond to service requests within 48 hours and monitor completion.
  • Implement and document preventive maintenance programs following BH guidelines.
  • Maintain the grounds and appearance of the property.
  • Perform repairs and replacements of appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and other maintenance requests within scope.
  • Coordinate with office and Maintenance Supervisor for apartment make-readies to ensure readiness for new tenants.
  • Provide backup support in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Identify and report hazardous conditions and liabilities on the property.
  • Manage supplies, equipment needs, and maintenance budget with appropriate approvals.

Minimum Qualifications/Skills:

  • At least one year of progressive maintenance and safety experience.
  • Experience with heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes and compliance.
  • Knowledge of building maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance programs, irrigation, pool systems, appliance repair.
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and ability to work with diverse groups.
  • Own industry-specific hand tools.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and dependability.
  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience with construction including foundations, framing, roofing, plumbing, electrical.
  • HVAC certification or ability to obtain.
  • E.P.A Certification (Type II or 410A) or ability to obtain.
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or ability to obtain.

Work Schedule: Generally 9am-6pm, Monday-Saturday, with some overtime and on-call duties.
