Job summary

IMT Residential is hiring an Assistant Service Manager (Assistant Maintenance Manager) for IMT Riverview in Mesa, AZ. You will be the Service Manager's right hand, overseeing maintenance across apartment homes, exterior and common areas, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliances.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, EPA Type II or Universal certification, leadership and customer service abilities, and on-call availability.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and solve maintenance issues across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances and pools
• Utilize the assigned tool set provided by IMT
• Prepare apartments for new residents in a timely manner following IMT standards
• With the Service Manager, lead, train and mentor the team
• With the Service Manager, ensure the quality of work meets IMT standards
• Perform daily maintenance of property grounds and handle additional duties as assigned

Position Details

As the Assistant Service Manager (Assistant Maintenance Manager), you will be the Service Manager's right hand in maintaining the property.

• Diagnose and solve maintenance issues in the apartment homes, exterior and common areas ranging from plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances and pools
• Utilize assigned tool set provided by IMT
• Prepare apartments for new residents in a timely manner following IMT standards
• With the Service Manager, lead, train and mentor the team
• With the Service Manager, ensure the quality of work performed by the team and vendors meets IMT standards
• Perform daily maintenance of property grounds for excellent curb appeal
  Additional projects and/or duties as assigned by the Service Manager or Community Manager

• Residential property management maintenance experience
• Hands-on maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, general carpentry, HVAC, appliances, pools, etc.
• A positive attitude, and the desire to learn and develop your skills
• Leadership abilities
• Customer service and verbal communication skills
• EPA Type II or Universal certification is required; CPO is a plus
• Availability to be on-call (rotating with the Technicians) to address any emergencies
