Job description

Job Summary:

Performs major repairs and preventative maintenance work to ensure hotel maintenance quality standards are achieved and maintained. Manages the maintenance staff to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner. Orders supplies as needed for the department.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the pool area and exercise room
• Keep grounds clear of visible trash and clean the parking lot, sidewalks, breezeways, stairs, and entrance thoroughly, including weed removal
• Report any problems that could interfere with guest satisfaction
• Keep the storage area clean daily and lock all storage areas before clocking out
• Ensure sufficient housekeeping supplies are available on each floor and adequate linens & supplies are in stock
• Verify that all exterior lights are functioning properly
• Report and address any safety hazards throughout the hotel
• Ensure the stockroom has sufficient inventory to last at least two weeks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Hospitality experience preferred
• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent experience in education and production maintenance preferred
• An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
• Must be highly motivated and able to work independently
