Job summary

Koch Foods is seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Supervisor to lead the plant maintenance program and coordinate repairs with operations, QA, and the Maintenance Manager. This role emphasizes planning, scheduling, and preventive/predictive maintenance to keep equipment running reliably.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a track record of supervising maintenance staff, and experience in a poultry environment.

Qualifications

• Some college or technical certification preferred.
• 5+ years managing a maintenance department required, poultry industry preferred.
• Strong demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure goals of the department are met.
• Communicate directly with operations to coordinate maintenance and repairs for equipment.
• Communicate with QA to ensure effective participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.
• Implement programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
• Assist with planning and implementing plant improvements and expansions.
• Ensure all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures.
• Monitor operation of plant equipment and systems.
• Supervise plant maintenance staff.
• Initiate, implement, and manage the plant maintenance program based on best practices, with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance.
