Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor plans, directs, and monitors maintenance policies, procedures, and techniques to meet or exceed efficiency, quality, and productivity goals for GSF and its divisions.

About the Job

What You'll Do:

  1. Lead daily maintenance activities, ensuring optimal resource use, work scheduling, work order processing, and rapid response to breakdowns. (25%)
  2. Oversee maintenance of machinery, equipment, and inventory to meet standards, minimize downtime, and support production schedules. (25%)
  3. Manage preventive maintenance and equipment rebuilds, including scheduling and team meetings for planning and repairs. (20%)
  4. Design or oversee control system designs to improve productivity and reduce downtime; analyze production data to optimize efficiency and quality; promote continuous improvement and proactive maintenance. (20%)
  5. Supervise maintenance staff, including task allocation, training, and performance evaluation. (10%)
  6. Coordinate parts procurement and inventory management using CMMS; maintain accurate equipment and repair records.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies; report hazards and unsafe conditions.
  8. Provide necessary training to staff before task assignments.
  9. Support Total Productive Maintenance activities and track related KPIs, implementing action plans for improvement.
  10. Conduct TPM training sessions for staff.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
  12. Leadership/Management Responsibility

    Manage up to 50 employees through subordinate supervisors.

  • Productivity and quality standards including project management, responsiveness, reliability, cost-efficiency, waste reduction, and downtime minimization.
  • Adherence to GMP, budget, cost control, teamwork, project standards, customer satisfaction, and safety procedures.

What You'll Need:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Associate’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years in Maintenance Management, Planning, or Supervision.
  • 2 years in welding, cutting, gearbox repair, pump alignment, material handling, preventative maintenance, and electrical work in an industrial or machine shop setting.
  • Ability to align with GSF’s Values and Creed.
