Job summary

Omega Senior Living is seeking a Part Time Assistant Maintenance Technician in Edmond, OK. You will follow daily instructions, perform maintenance and repairs, operate equipment safely, and assist with painting, plumbing, and carpentry tasks as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma, with vocational training preferred. Patience and a positive attitude toward residents are essential, with opportunities for ongoing education and certification maintenance.

Qualifications

  • Vocational/technical training or certification preferred.

  • Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Follow daily work instructions efficiently.
  • Perform maintenance work and/or repairs in a timely manner.
  • Operate and maintain equipment safely and using safety standards.
  • Complete minor painting, plumbing, carpentry and related tasks using hand tools.
  • Inspect resident rooms for order, safety, and proper equipment performance.

Job DetailsJob Location: Edmond, OK 73013Position Type: Part Time Assistant Maintenance Technician

Essential Duties
  • Follow daily work instructions in an efficient manner.
  • Performs various maintenance work and/or repair in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Operates and maintains equipment and tools for work performed, operating in a safe manner and using safety standards.
  • Only works on equipment and chemicals for which they have been properly trained and are aware of the location of the SDS sheets.
  • Clears snow and debris from sidewalks as needed; assists with completing lawn care duties such as mowing, planting and shrub trimming.
  • Assist with completing minor and routine painting, plumbing, carpentry and other related maintenance activities using hand tools.
  • Will keep certification current and participate in continuing education to include staff meetings, in-services and web-based trainings.
  • perform regular inspections of resident rooms/units for order, safety, and proper performance of equipment.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level they are currently functioning.

QualificationsEducation
