Job summary

SupplyOne in Jackson, WI is seeking a Solarco Operator to set up, operate, monitor and troubleshoot a Solarco box-making machine to produce custom corrugated boxes according to customer specs.

You will load materials, adjust settings for accurate box sizes, perform QC, and work with maintenance to address issues, while keeping the area clean and safe. This is a full-time day-shift role requiring math skills and English literacy.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or packaging.
• Ability to read and interpret ruler measurements.
• Ability to read and write English and interpret job tickets.
• Detail oriented and able to work at a fast pace.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Solarco box-making machines (BM2508/HD or similar).
• Interpret and execute production orders, including dimensions and quantities.
• Adjust machine settings for accurate box sizes, folds and perforations.
• Monitor production for high quality output with minimal waste.
• Perform quality checks throughout the run and report issues.
• Load corrugated sheets safely and efficiently into the machine.
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor preventive maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area and comply with safety rules.

SUMMARY: The Solarco Operator is responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform basic preventive maintenance on a Solarco box-making machine to produce custom corrugated boxes according to customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up and operate Solarco box-making machines (e.g., Solarco Boxmaker BM2508/HD or similar models)
• Interpret and execute production orders, including dimensions, styles, and quantities
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate box sizes, folds, and perforations
• Monitor the production process to ensure high-quality output with minimal waste
• Perform quality control checks throughout the run
• Load corrugated sheets into the machine safely and efficiently
• Troubleshoot machine issues and perform minor maintenance as needed
• Report malfunctions or defects to the maintenance team or supervisor
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Comply with all company policies and safety regulations

• Excellent math skills and the ability to read and comprehend ruler and decimal measurements are required.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or packaging environment
• Detail orientated with the ability to adjust the equipment as needed is a must.
• Ability to read and write English and be able to interpret job tickets into action items.
• Ask questions when in doubt.
• Learn and understand SupplyOne's Food Safety Management System.
• Must be an independent and responsible team player. Must be able to work at a fast pace, uphold designated break times and communicate professionally and effectively with co-workers.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
