Job summary

SupplyOne in Jackson, WI is seeking a Post Operator to set up, operate, monitor and maintain corrugated packaging machines. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork to keep production lines running smoothly.

You will read job tickets, perform data entry in Encore, and help with quality checks and inventory. Prior machine operation experience and familiarity with the company’s Food Safety Management System are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Previous manufacturing machine operation is a pre-requisite.
  • Ability to work with hand tools for machine set ups.
  • Accurate data entry is required for recording receipts and machine/product data into system.
  • Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to apply concepts of high school level math.
  • Must be able to read and interpret job tickets and ask questions when in doubt.
  • Acquire understanding and follow SupplyOne’s Food Safety Management System.
  • Understand SupplyOne Manufacturing Standards.
  • Ability to work in a timely and productive manner, using problem solving techniques, and meet customer needs.
  • Pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate machine that produces corrugated packaging.
  • Set up and run machine to maximize production.
  • Stop or reset machine when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions to a supervisor.
  • Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products to standards.
  • Monitor the production line, watching for problems such as pile-ups, jams, or glue that isn’t sticking properly.
  • Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature, dimension, pressure, register settings.
  • Marking materials with identifying information using appropriate method, understand ink system.
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
  • Adjust machine components and machine tension and pressure according to size or processing angle of product.
  • Assisting in counting of physical inventory.
  • Printing delivery receipts for drivers, and assisting in securing loads with bars/straps.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Set up machine from job to job based on FG operational proficiencies.
  • Use Encore software to enter data such as caliper checks, order specifications, and box dimensions.
  • Follows all Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
  • Record all necessary information on the SupplyOne QAR (Quality Assurance Report).
  • Ensuring production floor, machine area, is clean, accessible, and safe.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly

SUMMARY: The Post Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up, operate, monitor, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machines.They will ensure the efficient running of the machine and is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Being ateam playeris essential since all tasks require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly tomaximize efficiency and profits. Experience working with corrugated packaging equipment is a plus.
