Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Assistant Machine Operator to support our production process. You will set up, operate, and maintain packaging machines while upholding strict safety and quality standards, ensuring products meet specifications and deadlines.

We value teamwork, precise attention to detail, and the ability to read tape measures and perform basic math. The role involves multiple shifts, lifting up to 50 lbs, and potential overtime in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team setting.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math used in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, calibration and operation of manufacturing equipment and powered equipment.
• Monitor machine operations and production quality to ensure standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery as needed.
• Document production data and maintenance activities accurately.
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
