Job summary

ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging manufacturer, is seeking an Assistant Machine Operator - Converting for its Holbrook, MA facility. Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm. This role assists with machine setup, oversees material flow, and helps maintain production efficiency.

You will work with maintenance, quality, and scheduling teams, perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot minor issues, and ensure safety and cleanliness. Previous experience not required; 1-2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with machine setup and prepares machinery for operation.
• Supplies raw material to the converting machine to maintain production flow.
• Monitors machine operations and notifies issues to operators or supervisor.
• Assists with routine maintenance and minor repairs under guidance.
• Fills in or temporarily runs the machine during shift changes as needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment and adheres to PPE policies.
• Completes production logs and reports on output, downtime, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborates with maintenance, material handling, quality, inventory, scheduling, and other production teammates.
• All other duties as assigned.

ProAmpac is a leading global flexible packaging manufacturing company. Our Holbrook, MA facility is looking to add an Assistant Machine Operator - Converting to our team.

Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:00pm.

Essential Duties and Tasks:

• Assists with machine setup, prepares machinery for operation by setting up tools, loading materials, and adjusting settings as directed by the primary operator.
• Supplies raw material or compotent specific to the converting machine as needed, ensuring a steady flow of materials to maintain efficient production levels.
• Monitors converting machine operations, observes the machine during operation to ensure the machine is running as expected, notifying the primary operator or supervisor of any issues or malfunctions.
• Assists with routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts, adjusting machine settings, or other standard practices to ensure proper operation of the machine and to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
• Troubleshoots minor technical issues, performs minor repairs or adjustments under the guidance of the primary operator or maintenance personnel.
• Ability to fill-in or temporarily run the machine during shift changes, or as necessary.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment by performing standard tasks such as removing debris or waste materials.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Completes production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes, including but not limited to, production output, machine downtime, or any maintenance or repair activities.
• Effectively works with other departments or team members including maintenance, material handling, quality, inventory, scheduling, supervisors, customer service, or any other members of the production team as directed by supervisors.
