Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a machine operator to support setup, operation, and quality control of corrugated production in Wisconsin. You will participate in equipment setup, run the line, monitor quality, and assist with maintenance and clean-up to ensure timely, quality outputs.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of relevant experience, preferably in the corrugated industry.

Responsibilities

• Set-up equipment accurately and in accordance with proper techniques.
• Inspect tooling before and after run and repair as needed.
• Minimize material waste and assist operator in machine operation.
• Maximize equipment utilization and operate at available capacity and speed.
• Submit maintenance work orders for needed repairs and clean equipment daily/weekly.
• Provide recommendations to optimize scheduling for cost, quality and service.
• Perform random quality checks on materials for size, scoring, slotting, and printing.

Position Overview

Perform support activities associated with running machine equipment including setup, operation, quality control, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.

Responsibilities

• Set-up equipment accurately and in accordance with proper and safe setup techniques.
• Inspect all tooling before and after run to ensure that any necessary repairs are made before next run.
• Minimize material sheet, ink and adhesive waste. Assist Machine Operator in the operation of machines, ensuring efficiency and the production of quality products.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed.
• Submit maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Complete daily and weekly equipment clean-ups.
• Provide recommendations when necessary for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals. Perform continuous quality control: select material at random to check size, scoring, slotting, material, printing and folding.
• Abide by all company policies and procedures, including practicing safe work habits.
• Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to GBP quality policy to ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
