Ironside Human Resources in Tallahassee, FL, seeks an Assistant Laboratory Director to join a hospital-based laboratory team in a temp-to-perm role. This position collaborates with the Laboratory Director to oversee operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a skilled staff.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree, ASCP/AMT/AAB certification, broad clinical expertise across Microbiology to Immunohematology, and at least one year of leadership experience, with responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a clinical laboratory science or related field.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB certification.
• Expertise in Microbiology, Serology/Immunology, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Immunohematology.
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory leadership experience.

Responsabilités

• Lead and collaborate with the Director to plan, organize, and oversee Laboratory Services operations.
• Monitor Point-of-Care testing activities and prepare compliance reports.
• Provide follow-up and support to nursing departments to ensure adherence to standards.
• Develop staff schedules and adjust staffing to meet workload demands.
• Assist with departmental in-service education and ongoing staff development initiatives.
