Job summary

Ascension Coffee Concepts LLC in Southlake, TX, is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to support daily kitchen operations and uphold high standards of food quality and safety. The AKM will lead by example, coordinate production, and assist during Cafe Kitchen Manager absences.

Nights and weekends are required; travel to locations may be needed; salary is commensurate with experience. The role includes event participation, staff development, and a hands-on leadership approach to maintain

Qualifications

• Restaurant kitchen operations experience required.
• Food and Beverage Manager certification.
• Reliable transportation, able to travel to all locations.
• Able to work nights and weekends.
• Strong teambuilding skills, clear communication.
• Great organizational skills, problem solving ability, and intuitive resourcefulness.
• High initiative and self-management skills, willing to take direction.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, ~8 hours each workday.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a working leader responsible for supporting food quality, food safety, production planning, team development, and operational execution.
• Lead by example, consistently uphold company standards, and assume responsibility for overseeing kitchen operations during Cafe Kitchen Manager absences.
• Participates in special events including off site catering and functions
• Coachable: receives and implements feedback quickly
• Approachable: forges strong interpersonal connections with folks of all skill levels
• Impactful: communicates and conveys concepts in a way the individual will understand and respond with engagement.
