Job Description

$20.89 - $22.39 PER HOUR

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The purpose of this position is to assist the Kitchen Manager in maintaining quality standards and profitability of Harmons’ Kitchen department. Responsibilities include knowing all aspects of the full service Kitchen, training new associates, providing exceptional customer service, and determining production and inventory levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Follow established departmental and store policies and procedures.
2. Ensure the quality and freshness of all products and services provided by Harmons’ Kitchen.
3. Maintain appropriate product assortment and inventory levels.
4. Verify pricing accuracy and signage, especially for promotional items.
5. Ensure daily cleaning and sanitation standards are met for the Kitchen's appearance.
6. Deliver excellent customer service to all customers.
7. Order products and create production sheets based on sales data.
8. Participate actively in the Safety Committee to ensure safety for customers and staff.
9. Complete tasks efficiently and timely.
10. Set a professional and positive example for others.
11. Communicate regularly with the Store Director and Director of Kitchen Operations.
12. Maintain safety, sanitation, and productivity standards.
13. Mentor and educate associates to foster team success.
14. Provide honest feedback on performance and assist in development and discipline decisions.
15. Develop kitchen schedules to ensure coverage and meet labor goals.
16. Conduct quarterly inventory of all Kitchen products.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS:

• Regular interaction with store associates and customers.

TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful performance requires the ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Requirements include:

• A high school diploma or GED; college preferred.
• Two years of kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to handle conflict professionally.
• Passion for kitchen products, cooking, and food preparation.
• Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret policies, make logical decisions, and accept constructive feedback.

• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS:

Work environment is generally safe and comfortable but may involve exposure to hot, cold, slippery, and wet conditions. Physical requirements include grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying up to 50 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions.
