Job summary

Shiawassee Council on Aging in Owosso, MI is seeking an Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team and help deliver nutritious meals with compassionate service to seniors. This role supports daily kitchen operations, supervision of staff and volunteers, and adherence to safety guidelines.

You will collaborate with the Kitchen Manager to ensure menu plans are followed, inventory is managed, and a welcoming, efficient dining environment is maintained.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or kitchen management.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
