First (Scots) Presbyterian Kindergarten is seeking a dedicated and enthusiasticAssistant Kindergarten Teacherto support the Lead Teacher in anaccelerated kindergarten programfocused on preparing students for first grade. This is a part-time, academic-year position beginningmid-August through mid-May.

Schedule

• Monday - Thursday: 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Friday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to meet the individual needs of students
• Assist in planning and implementing daily activities
• Support lesson planning and classroom management
• Observe student progress and contribute to evaluations
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with families
• Teach foundational skills in phonics, writing, and mathematics
• Introduce science, social studies, art, and public speaking
• Foster self-confidence and a love of learning in each child
• Utilize school library resources effectively
• Participate in Parent/Teacher Conferences
