Responsibilities:

• Assist the Kennel Manager in overseeing daily kennel operations and staff supervision
• Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of all dogs in our care
• Coordinate feeding schedules, medication administration, and exercise routines
• Train and mentor kennel staff on animal handling, facility protocols, and customer service
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kennel environment
• Communicate with pet owners regarding their dog's stay, behavior, and any concerns
• Assist with scheduling, boarding reservations, and facility inventory management

Requirements:

• Previous experience in kennel management, veterinary care, or animal boarding
• Strong knowledge of dog behavior, breeds, and basic animal health care
• Leadership or supervisory experience in an animal care or hospitality setting
• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments safely
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Physically able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in an active environment
• CPR/First Aid for pets certification is a plus
