Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a self-motivated investigator to contribute to the design, implementation, interpretation, and reporting of investigational human studies focused on cardiovascular and exercise physiology. The role includes grant-writing, study execution using vascular ultrasound, tonometry, plethysmography, and CPET, as well as data analysis and result reporting.

Duties require 2–5 years postdoctoral experience and a Ph.D. in Physiology.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Physiology is required.
• 2–5 years of postdoctoral experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement human studies using cardiovascular and exercise physiology techniques.
• Perform advanced data analyses and statistics.

Job description

Candidates are expected to be self-motivated and to contribute substantively to the design, implementation, interpretation and reporting of investigational studies in humans. Duties and responsibilities include grant-writing, design and implementation of human studies utilizing cardiovascular and exercise physiology techniques including vascular ultrasonography, applanation tonometry, (photo)plethysmography and cardiopulmonary exercise testing, advanced data and statistical analyses, and presentation and publication of study findings.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Physiology
• 2 to 5 years of postdoctoral experience
