One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning in Meridian, ID is seeking an HVAC installation assistant. The role involves supporting lead technicians with installation, maintenance, and startup of replacement HVAC systems.

You will carry tools, learn to troubleshoot, perform routine maintenance, and assist with ductwork and system startups under supervision. A high school diploma is required and NATE certification is preferred; strong communication and a clean driving record are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead installation technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Carry tools, materials, and equipment to job sites and maintain an organized work area.
• Learn to troubleshoot heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems under supervision.
• Assist with ductwork installation, equipment change-outs, and system startups.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including filter changes, coil cleaning, and system inspections.
• Help check refrigerant pressures, temperatures, electrical components, and airflow measurements.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and diagnostic equipment.
• Load, unload, and inventory materials, parts, and equipment for daily jobs.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in clean working condition
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA guidelines
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members on job progress and site conditions
• Complete job-related paperwork, service notes, and documentation as required
• Participate in ongoing training to develop technical HVAC knowledge and certifications
• Maintain punctual attendance and readiness for assigned work schedules, including occasional overtime or emergency calls

Compensation: $16.00 - $30.00 per hour
