Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and implements a regular program of practice in season.
• Oversees safety conditions of the facility where the sport is conducted at all times students are present.
• Maintains accurate statistics, records, and results and reports them to the athletic director.
• Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior; establishes penalties for breaches by students.
• Maintains competency in rules, interpretations, procedures, and coaching techniques for the sport.
• Attends pre-season and post-season meetings.
• Adheres to injury prevention and follow-up program.
• Works with athletic director to report problems.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
• Accounts for all equipment or delegates responsibility.
• Develops a public communications procedure to inform parents about the athletic program.
