Qualifications

• CORI and fingerprint background check required.
• CPR and First Aid certification a plus.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, and implements a regular program of practice in season.
• Oversees the safety conditions of the facility during practices at all times.
• Maintains statistics, records, and reports of the season and reports them to the athletic director.
• Enforces discipline and sportsmanlike behavior; establishes and oversees penalties for breaches.
• Keeps up to date with rules, interpretations, meets procedures, coaching techniques and general sport information.
• Attends pre-season and post-season meetings.
• Adheres to an injury prevention and follow-up program.
• Works with the athletics director in reporting problems.
• Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
• Accounts for all equipment or delegates the responsibility.
• Develops a consistent and positive public communications procedure with parents about the athletic program.

Job Description

Assistant Varsity Wrestling Coach

Responsibilities and Duties

1. Plans, schedules, and implements a regular program of practice in season.
2. Oversees the safety conditions of the facility or area in which assigned sport is conducted at all times that students are present.
3. Maintains accurate statistics, records, and results of the season and reports them to the athletic director.
4. Enforces discipline, sportsmanlike behavior at all times, establishes and oversees penalties for breach of such standards by individual students.
5. Maintains competency in rules, rule interpretations, meets procedures, coaching techniques, and general information about all aspects of the sport.
6. The coach attends pre-season and post-season meetings.
7. Adheres to a highly efficient and technically sound program of injury prevention and follow up.
8. Works closely with the athletics director in reporting problems that arise.
9. Recommends purchase of equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
10. Accounts for all equipment or delegates the responsibility.
11. Develops a consistent and positive public communications procedure through the school and media to inform the parents about the athletic program.
