Job Title: Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager
The primary responsibility of the AIT and Assistant Manager is to fulfill our mission statement, "to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests." They perform various sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by store management, including cashiering, merchandise display, register procedures, and routine cleaning. They work directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new Teammates, and provide leadership. The role involves sharing responsibility for training and motivating Teammates and acting as the Store Manager in their absence. The Assistant Manager position is a progression from the AIT role, with additional high-level duties, though most responsibilities are shared.

Sales Generation and Guest Service
- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide legendary service.
- Answer questions regarding store and merchandise confidently.
- Help locate or recommend merchandise based on Guest needs.
- Anticipate and fulfill Guest needs, suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobe experience.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and share sales education with the team.
- Stay informed about current sales, promotions, policies, and security practices.
- Maintain personal sales goals and impact team presentations using the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG).
- Achieve personal sales metrics and contribute to store sales goals.
- Provide exceptional service across all store areas: Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and register.
- Understand and communicate return/exchange procedures effectively.
- Use the SPG daily to meet or exceed goals.
- Engage in all business builders and guest loyalty programs.
- Expand Guest selection through inventory management tools.
- Develop and maintain strong Guest relationships and a client-based business.
- Lead by example with showmanship, customer service, and attentiveness.
- Recognize Guest Levels and communicate with the team.
- Ask business-driven questions to Managers, Team Leaders, and Teammates.
- Be coachable and open to feedback to improve sales presentations.
- Perform leadership actions and uphold high standards consistently.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to set sales goals and demonstrate ownership of store performance.
- Show passion for product education and showmanship to achieve results.
Teammate Recruiting, Training, and Development
- Recognize recruiting opportunities and utilize various referral methods.
- Build relationships through Guest Loyalty and Guest Preferred programs.
- Lead and motivate new Teammates to meet standards in sales and loss prevention.
- Create a positive floor culture and demonstrate appropriate dress code.
- Participate in daily setup, training, and performance reviews.
- Motivate Teammates to complete daily tasks and focus on product and fit showmanship.
- Assist in departmental development and delegate tasks effectively.
- Engage guests with product demonstrations and store tours.
- Maintain visual standards and merchandising opportunities.
- Recognize and act on visual and merchandising opportunities to improve store performance.
Operations
- Work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts.
- Utilize planning tools for opening and closing procedures.
- Recognize security risks and follow Loss Prevention guidelines.
- Handle POS procedures and customer calls professionally.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and shoppable store environment.
- Report merchandise concerns and policy violations promptly.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and tasks efficiently.
- Coordinate with Corporate Office for effective store operation.
- Monitor inventory and handle emergencies appropriately.
Leadership and Supervision
- Support and supportively provide feedback to peers and management.
- Promote growth and maintain professionalism among Teammates.
- Conduct interviews and support team development.
- Handle schedule changes positively and professionally.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and perform special projects as needed.

Physical Demands
