Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Vermont invites applications for an Assistant Human Resources Director at Spruce Peak. You will assist the HRD in leading day-to-day HR operations, oversee HR office admin, and help foster a culture that reflects Hyatt's care for people.

You will support recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, housing, and training, as well as performance management and leave administration, with opportunities for growth within Hyatt's global portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• HR certification(s) preferred.
• Minimum of two years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Minimum of two years of HR experience in hotel or hospitality leadership.
• Strong HR generalist experience.
• Experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training & development.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Highly organized with strong administrative and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences.

We are looking for an Assistant Human Resources Director to join our team! This person will assist the HRD with leading the day-to-day Human Resources function, overseeing all Human Resources office administration, and fostering a culture that reflects Hyatt's purpose of caring for people so they can be their best. Additionally, the AHRD assists in overseeing and/or performing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, international recruitment, housing, performance management, leave of absence administration, training and development, and engagement initiatives.

In partnership with the Director of Human Resources, the Assistant Director assists with both short- and long-term HR strategy, while executing hotel and company initiatives. Pay Range:

$80,000 - $110,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) preferred.
• Minimum of two years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.
• Minimum of two years of Human Resources experience within a hotel environment or equivalent hospitality leadership experience.
• Strong Human Resources generalist experience required.
• Demonstrated experience in payroll administration, employee relations, talent acquisition, and training and development.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
• Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional administrative and project management skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for colleagues and guests through a lens of care.
