The Oklahoma Municipal League, Inc. is seeking an HR professional to support the Human Resources Director in administering the department and guiding policy. The role involves supervising staff, coordinating projects, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in HR-related fields and at least five years of experience, including three years in a leadership role, with municipal government experience preferred.
Under limited supervision, this position assists the Human Resources Director in managing and overseeing the Human Resources Department, including, but not limited to: supervising and managing employees, making policy and practice recommendations and decisions, and managing projects. Serves as the Human Resources Director in absence of the Human Resources Director.
This position performs duties deemed to be “safety sensitive” and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City’s policies.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a course of study related to the occupational field, supplemented by five years of related experience in Human Resources, including at least three years managing employees; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous experience in municipal government is preferred. Possession of a valid Class D Driver's License issued by the State of Oklahoma required.
Tasks involve the ability to exert minimal physical effort in sedentary work, typically involving some combination of balancing, feeling, handling, hearing, kneeling, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, talking, visual acuity, walking and which involves some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
