Job summary

Witham Family Hotels is seeking a dependable Maintenance Associate to join our Home2 Suites by Hilton property. In this full-time role, you will perform general maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and hotel systems to keep the property safe, functional, and welcoming.

You will respond to maintenance requests, assist with preventative maintenance, troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues, and collaborate with housekeeping and front desk to support guest

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, facilities, or related experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities
• Respond promptly to guest and team member maintenance requests
• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks to uphold brand standards
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools
• Support with painting and minor repair projects as needed
• Report safety hazards and maintenance concerns promptly
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors during service visits
• Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk to support operations

In this full‑time, year‑round role, you will assist with the upkeep and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel systems to help ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. Position Details:

Schedule: Full‑Time, Year‑Round

Shifts: Vary and may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities

• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment
• Assist with property upkeep, painting, and minor repair projects as neededReport safety hazards and maintenance concerns promptly
• Support outside vendors and contractors during service visits when needed
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
• Collaborate with housekeeping and front desk teams to support overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction

Skills & Requirements:

• Previous maintenance, facilities, or related experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks preferred
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and occasional on‑call situations as needed
• Positive attitude and team‑first mindset
