Job summary

Hyatt Regency Newport Beach seeks an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee housekeeping and public areas, including night cleaning. The role requires ensuring safety policies and staff training in a fast-paced hotel environment, with a focus on guest satisfaction.

The position reports to the Housekeeping Manager and requires attention to detail, teamwork, and strong communication with guests and other departments.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with people of cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
• 2-3 years of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience
• Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
• Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset
• High energy with motivational leadership and strong customer service focus
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must be able to provide full availability including evenings, weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Assist oversight of the entire housekeeping area including public areas and night cleaning.
• Ensure safety and security policies and procedures are followed.
• Staff training, development and scheduling as needed.
• Promote guest and associate satisfaction through attentive service.
• Coordinate with other departments to maintain smooth operations.
