The Phelps Residence Inn is seeking a skilled, passionate, and friendly Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated manager who is ready to work alongside our great Executive Housekeeping Manager and share responsibilities within the Housekeeping Department.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Obtaining lists of vacant rooms needing immediate cleaning and prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments.
  2. Assigning duties to workers and inspecting work for cleanliness standards.
  3. Advising the manager or desk clerk of rooms ready for occupancy.
  4. Inventory management to ensure adequate supplies.
  5. Assisting in investigations and handling complaints regarding housekeeping services and equipment, and supporting corrective actions.
  6. Examining rooms, halls, and lobbies for repairs or replacements, and making recommendations to management.
  7. Training new employees on company policies, work procedures, and equipment use and maintenance.
  8. Participating in staff meetings to discuss policies, guest feedback, and service improvements.
  9. Assisting in preparing reports on room occupancy, payroll, and department expenses.
  10. Maintaining thorough knowledge of products, room types, amenities, and brand standards.
  11. Performing all other duties as assigned.

** All managers receive complimentary parking at the hotel.

Qualifications
  • Experience as a housekeeping inspector or supervisor preferred.
  • Open availability and flexibility with scheduled days based on business needs.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.
