Job summary

Capital Vacations, LLC is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to help oversee the housekeeping team and maintain a clean, safe environment for guests and owners. You will coordinate tasks, train staff, handle staffing plans, and assist with reports and cost controls to ensure smooth operations across resort locations.

The role requires two years in a supervisory role, strong communication skills, and knowledge of OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Two years in a management/supervisory role, preferably in a resort/hotel.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Proficient knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assigns staff duties and inspects work for cleanliness standards.
• Investigates complaints and takes corrective action.
• Obtains lists of rooms to clean and check-outs to assign work.
• Coordinates work activities among departments.
• Conducts orientation and in-service training on policies and equipment.
• Forecasts department personnel requirements and staffing.
• Prepares reports on occupancy, payroll, and expenses.
• Recruits, hires, and trains staff.
• Performs cleaning duties during emergencies or shortages.

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager assists in overseeing the operations of the housekeeping department, providing a clean and safe environment to provide our guests and owners with an enjoyable stay.

What you're great at:

• Responsibilities listed may not apply to all locations
• Assigns staff their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness
• Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action
• Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs to prepare work assignments
• Coordinates work activities among departments
• Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures and to demonstrate proper use and maintenance of equipment
• Evaluates records to forecast department personnel requirements
• Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation
• Prepares reports concerning room occupancy, payroll, and department expenses
• Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage
• Attends staff meetings to discuss company policies and guest/owner complaints
• Issues supplies, room keys, equipment to staff
• AdvisesHospitality-Front Office of rooms ready for occupancy
• Records data regarding work assignments, personnel actions, timesheets, etc. and submits to HR
• Recruits, hires, and trains staff
• All other duties as requested
